Hi all,

As you know Oscar's first birthday is fast approaching and Damien and I wanted to do something nice to mark the occassion. We are so lucky to have a healthy, happy, funny, mischievous little man to call our son and we're so proud of how he is growing up (way too quickly!) and keeping us on our toes!

We want to teach Oscar about the importance of giving back and helping others from a young age. 

We recently stumbled upon this really worthy charity called 'Communified' - its a local Perth charity that help kids and families of those who are seriously ill or have a disability. They have numerous projects set up that help brighten the days of sick children and help families in their time of need (have a read - https://communified.org.au/)

D & I are also aware that not everyone is as fortune as us to have a healthy baby and are up against some seriously tough situations that really puts life into perspective. So instead of giving Oscar loads of toys and material things he doesn't need for his first birthday, we decided to set up this fundraising page;  if any of our friends and family feel the urge then in lieu of a gift please feel free to make a donation.

Honestly, there is absolutely no pressure to donate at all, we aren't being presumptious thinking that Oscar would be laiden with gifts but if you want to and can spare a few dollars you will be helping a fantastic cause.
